Stack together. Use separately

Build them into one bamboo form, or separate each cup for coffee, tea, matcha, and more.

Why bamboo and Tea Dust Glaze belong together.

It goes far beyond their green color. The darker joints, subtle specks, layered tones, and natural surface textures of bamboo all find their counterparts in Tea Dust Glaze — as if the glaze and the form were always meant to meet.

From red mineral to green color

Ochre, the mineral

At its origin, Tea Dust begins with a naturally iron-rich mineral, red-brown in its raw state. Within the kiln, intense heat and a reducing atmosphere set a delicate transformation. Yet this green is never simply produced. A little more heat can push it towards near-black. Only when these conditions meet just right does the characteristic green come to life.

Fire Reveals It

The mineral leaves its presence behind. As the glaze cools, tiny crystals naturally form across the surface, creating the fine speckled texture that gives Tea Dust its distinctive character. Each crystal catches and reflects light differently, so the cup reveals subtle shifts in color, depth, and texture as it moves from morning light to the warmer glow of evening. In your hands, the surface is never quite the same. What remains is more than a colour.

Every piece takes 72 steps and 15 days making before it’s ready for you.

About Saragaia

Everything, in Nature’s Language.

We begin by listening to the material. Clay, mineral, glaze, fire, and the maker’s hand each leave a trace—giving every SaraGaia piece its own tone, texture, and presence. Our materials are drawn from the earth, and our forms follow the language of nature: the curve of a stone, the rhythm of a branch, the movement of water. Rather than imitating nature, we let it shape the objects we live with.

Made by nature, guided by hand, and completed through living.

Nature,at Every Step.

MATERIAL
Borrowed from the Earth

MATERIAL

We work with kaolin clay and mineral glazes formed through the earth’s long geological history. We do not invent the material, we borrow it, then shape it with care.

MAKING
At Nature’s Pace.

MAKING

The maker guides the process without forcing sameness—working with clay, glaze and fire until each piece finds its form. No shortcuts. No substitutes. Nothing imposed before its time.

SELECT
By Nature’s Own Design.

SELECT

Fire creates what no standard color chart can prescribe. Human judgment then selects the pieces whose surface, balance and character best carry the process forward.

PACKAGE
Less waste, More life

PACKAGE

Our packaging is chosen to protect what comes from the earth—and, at the end of its useful life, to return with a lighter trace. — protecting what’s inside while reducing what’s left behind.
