Quality
From each kiln firing, only the pieces that meet our rigorous standards are chosen for our customer.
During the Yongzheng period, tea dust glaze ceramics became a deliberate artistic pursuit, prized for its elusive hue—neither purely green nor yellow, but with subtle color variations. Named for its striking resemblance to tea dust, it embodied this unique aesthetic.
Ceramics with tea dust glaze, beloved and sought after for their unique coloration, are housed in varying forms in institutions such as the British Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago. Pictures here are a vase from the Metropolitan Museum's collection.
Usage Guide
Care & Maintenance
Air dry naturally after washing. Do not wipe surface moisture with linting paper towels.
Avoid storage with sharp metal objects. Never expose to open flame.
Craftsmanship Note
Handcrafted pieces may exhibit subtle natural color variations — this embodies the artisanal essence.
Cleaning Methods
• Coffee Stains: Gently scrub with food-grade salt, baking soda, or toothpaste. Rinse thoroughly.
• Grease Residue: Add white vinegar, let sit 3-5 minutes, then scrub with a brush. Rinse completely.
Lead-Free and Food-Safe
The glazes used in our ceramics are lead-free and food-safe. You can use our products with confidence, knowing that they meet the highest safety standards.
Recommended Washing Methods
While our handmade dinnerware is dishwasher and microwave safe, we recommend hand washing for optimal care. The internal temperature of microwaves and ovens can vary, which may cause damage to the ceramics over time. To hand wash, use a soft scrub brush and dish soap, avoiding metal or abrasive sponges. For dishwasher use, we recommend using eco-friendly detergents to help preserve the longevity of the ceramics.
