At its origin, Tea Dust begins with a naturally iron-rich mineral, red-brown in its raw state. Within the kiln, intense heat and a reducing atmosphere set a delicate transformation. Yet this green is never simply produced. A little more heat can push it towards near-black. Only when these conditions meet just right does the characteristic green come to life.
Fire Reveals It
The mineral leaves its presence behind. As the glaze cools, tiny crystals naturally form across the surface, creating the fine speckled texture that gives Tea Dust its distinctive character. Each crystal catches and reflects light differently, so the cup reveals subtle shifts in color, depth, and texture as it moves from morning light to the warmer glow of evening. In your hands, the surface is never quite the same. What remains is more than a colour.

We work with kaolin clay and mineral glazes formed through the earth’s long geological history. We do not invent the material, we borrow it, then shape it with care.
MAKING
The maker guides the process without forcing sameness—working with clay, glaze and fire until each piece finds its form. No shortcuts. No substitutes. Nothing imposed before its time.
SELECT
Fire creates what no standard color chart can prescribe. Human judgment then selects the pieces whose surface, balance and character best carry the process forward.

I am absolutely in love with this bamboo-inspired ceramic cup set! The moss green glaze has a rich, earthy tone, and the reddish-brown accent line along the rims gives it such a refined, handcrafted touch. They stack seamlessly together, looking like a real piece of bamboo on my counter, but function wonderfully for my afternoon matcha and tea. Highly recommend if you appreciate zen aesthetic and great quality!

Absolutely. Our porcelain is 100% lead and cadmium free. Each piece has passed rigorous independent SGS safety testing. The high-kaolin clay and natural mineral glazes are fired at 1330°C (2426°F), making them completely food-safe and stable for coffee, tea, or any hot drinks.
